PI for Commercial Energy Assessors
Since this October 2008 the European Union’s Energy Performance Directive (EPBD) requires all commercial buildings throughout the United Kingdom to have an Energy Performance Certificate when they are constructed, sold or let. Insurers were initially concerned that come the October 2008 deadline there would be a shortage of accredited energy assessors for commercial properties however we have yet to receive feedback as to the actual numbers of accredited individuals.
